I'm a software engineer who has spent the last few years working inside Somalia's banking sector — not as a contractor who drops in, but as the person who owns the system from design to production.
The work I'm most proud of is a Financing Origination System I built from scratch for one of the country's leading banks. Before it existed, loan approvals were entirely paper-based and took multiple days. After launch, that same process runs in under a day, with an audit trail and zero paper involved. That kind of impact is why I do this work.
I also do iOS developmentand have migrated legacy Objective-C banking apps to SwiftUI. Outside of banking, I'm currently building an AI-powered hiring platform. I like problems where getting it wrong actually has consequences.
